After years of looking at different buildings and land in and around Budila, Caty Roos, FFR collaborator, called Steffi one afternoon saying, “There is one more I saw online!” By the time they arrived in Budila, it had gotten very dark and had started to snow. There was no electricity or light, so they scheduled a second visit to see the place during the daytime. Instantly, both ladies knew that this was the one!
The location was perfect and the land was filled with trees and nature. History could be felt in the location. The 3-generation family who lived there previously had raised their kids on this land, along with chickens, pigs, and cows. It felt right immediately from the start!
